On the hills overlooking the banks of the river Parma, near Lesignano Bagni, there is a microclimate where olive trees, which are typical of countries on the Mediterranean, can be grown. Perhaps this is why some Parma companies, with a view to controlling the excellency of raw materials, produce an extra-virgin olive oil from cold pressed olives.

Olive oil is an ideal condiment and considered vital for good health. It can be used uncooked or to prepare foods and is also fundamental for preserving quality foods.
